Scholarships and Endowed Scholarships

I am grateful for the opportunity to be financially supported by my high school and hope to embody the ideals outlined by the Andrew M. VanTassel Memorial Scholarship. Thank you very much.  Laila Mooring-Frye Class of 2013

There are several ways to arrange for scholarships to be administered through Dollars for Scholars.

Dollars for Scholars also serves as an umbrella for the administration of outside scholarship funds when an agreement is reached between the existing scholarship program and Dollars for Scholars.

We invite individuals, families, friends, co-workers and organizations to honor or remember someone special by establishing a scholarship in that person's name. These scholarships are called "restricted awards" and have benefits and rules depending upon the amount of the award.

• Scholarships in the amount of $500-$999 may be named by the givers.
• Scholarships in the amount of $1000 or more may be named by the givers AND criteria may be set for the type of recipient to whom the award will be given.
• Endowed Scholarships in the sum of at least $5000 may also be established with Dollars for Scholars managing the endowment.
• All scholarships may be presented by the givers at the Annual Awards Ceremony, usually held in May of each year.
